2. Personal information we collect
Depending on how a person uses the Service, Anchor may collect:
- Account and contact information, such as name, email address, telephone number, credentials, organization, role, and communication preferences.

- Information from other sources, such as sponsors, issuers, referral sources, service providers, linked services, authorized representatives, and public sources.
Do not provide another person’s information unless you have authority to do so and have given any notice or obtained any permission required by law.
3. How we collect information
Anchor collects information directly from applicants, members, sponsors, and website visitors; automatically from devices and use of the Service; and from organizations, authorized representatives, service providers, sponsors, issuers, referral sources, linked services, and public sources.
4. How we use personal information
Anchor may use personal information to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and support the Service;
- create and administer accounts, applications, and memberships;
- evaluate access and membership eligibility;
- provide the peer network, community, marketplace, preferences, documents, models, calculators, communications, and other club functions;
- perform Anchor’s described curation process and review sponsor and opportunity submissions;
- facilitate communications among members, sponsors, and issuers;
- process membership payments and maintain billing records;
- send account, application, billing, security, feature, policy, and permitted marketing communications;
- monitor performance, troubleshoot, improve usability, and develop features;
- prevent, detect, and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of terms;
- comply with law, respond to lawful process, establish or defend legal claims, and enforce agreements; and
- carry out another purpose disclosed at collection or directed or consented to by the individual.
Membership approval is not accredited-investor verification, approval for an offering, or an investment recommendation.
5. How we disclose personal information
Anchor may disclose personal information to:
- Service providers that perform hosting, authentication, communications, support, payment processing, analytics, security, document handling, or other operations for Anchor. They receive information for their assigned functions subject to applicable contractual restrictions.
- Sponsors and issuers when a member requests information, directs a communication, submits a preference, or uses another feature that requires the disclosure.
- Other users according to the audience and settings of a profile, community, messaging, or sharing feature.
- Professional advisers and transaction participants, such as lawyers, auditors, insurers, financing sources, or prospective parties to a corporate transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
- Authorities and protective recipients when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; protect rights, safety, or security; investigate unlawful activity; or enforce agreements.
- Other recipients at the individual’s direction or with consent.
6. Accreditation and sensitive materials
Accreditation information and supporting evidence may reveal financial, identity, tax, or professional details. Anchor limits access to personnel and providers who need the information for an authorized purpose and seeks to collect only information reasonably necessary for that purpose.
Anchor does not license private accreditation or investor documents for public marketing or model training. Such documents may be disclosed to an issuer, sponsor, verifier, or other recipient only when the applicable workflow authorizes it, the individual directs it, or law permits or requires it. Membership approval alone does not verify accredited-investor status for an offering.
7. Artificial intelligence
Anchor uses Claude to support sponsor-material review. The “Help improve Claude” setting is off. Claude’s handling of information remains subject to applicable provider terms and policies.
Anchor does not use private accreditation or investor documents for model training, public marketing, or an undisclosed secondary purpose. There is no in-app artificial-intelligence feature. Anchor will update this Notice and provide any required notice or choice before materially changing these practices.
8. Cookies, analytics, and marketing choices
Anchor uses only essential cookies and similar technologies, to keep you signed in, protect the Service, and remember the choices that make it work. Anchor does not use advertising cookies.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary technologies may prevent portions of the Service from working. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe method, while transactional or legal notices may continue where permitted by law.
9. Retention
Anchor retains personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide accounts and memberships, administer applications, preserve security and transaction records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention depends on the information’s nature and sensitivity, operational purpose, risk of harm, applicable limitation periods, and legal or regulatory requirements.
Deletion may be delayed or limited for backups, fraud prevention, legal holds, securities or financial records, disputes, or other lawful obligations. Legal holds suspend ordinary deletion for covered information. When an applicable retention period ends, Anchor deletes or deidentifies information subject to technical feasibility and law. If Anchor maintains deidentified information, it will not attempt to reidentify it except as permitted by law to test deidentification safeguards.
10. Security
Anchor uses reasonable and appropriate administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, taking account of its nature and the risks involved. No security measure eliminates all risk, and Anchor cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you believe your account or information may have been compromised, contact [SUPPORT EMAIL].
11. Choices and privacy requests
Depending on account features and applicable law, a person may be able to update profile or communication settings, unsubscribe from marketing, manage cookies, close an account, or request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of certain information.
Requests may be submitted to [SUPPORT EMAIL]. Anchor may verify identity and authority before acting. Anchor may deny or limit a request where permitted by law, including when retention is required or another person’s rights would be affected. Anchor will explain an applicable denial and any appeal right required by law.
Residents of some U.S. states may also have rights to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive information; use an authorized agent; appeal a denied request; and receive equal service without unlawful discrimination. Exact rights and exceptions vary by state. Anchor will provide any state-specific method and disclosure required where the law applies.
12. Children
The Service is intended for adults who are at least 18. Anchor does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information contrary to this section, contact [SUPPORT EMAIL].
13. Changes to this Notice
Anchor may update this Notice to reflect changes in the Service, practices, or law. Anchor will post the updated version and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects previously collected information, Anchor will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
